As required by Section 706 of SMCRA (Public Law 95-87), OSMRE submits to the President and Congress an annual report describing the operations of the Office. OSMRE has submitted this report to the President and Congress each year since 1978. From 1994 through 2005, the annual report included the financial reporting requirements of the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990.
