This project was made possible by the Federal Abandoned Mine Land Economic Revitalization Program administered by the Office of Surface Mining and Reclamation Enforcement and funded by the U.S. Department of Treasury. Russell County received $269,000 to implement the multi-use trails and to reclaim features left by historic coal mining.
