FINANCIAL REPORT

Upon motion made by Tony Dodi, second by John Stamper, and duly

approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia

approving the February 2022 financial reports and approve paying invoices

presented, and the additional invoice from Robinson Farmer Cox for $12,600.00.

GUEST PRESENTATIONS

Jody Campbell, representing Veritas Campus Church, presented a plan to

locate a daycare facility in the 911 building. The daycare is currently located in the

Gracewood Community Church and there is no room for the expansion. Jody

proposed a rent amount of $1,000.00 per month.

Tyler Bailey, Frost Funeral Home, presented a desire to locate a

crematorium for human and pets in Russell County. The license Frost Funeral

Home has acquired would only allow for the operation of the crematorium, not to

publicly sale the service in Russell County. Mr. Bailey stated he did not have any

desire to locate a funeral home in Russell County, that he only needed property to

locate the crematorium.

Sam Hess and Jamie Combs, Combs-Hess Funeral Service, adamantly

opposed the project. They expressed the opinion the crematorium would be very

detrimental to their business and they would not use the service if located in

Russell County.

The Executive Director informed the board of a program called IN

Appalachia. The program is a mechanism that brings collaboration to all the

businesses in the region. The annual cost is $300.00 per year.

approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia

authorizing the Executive Director to complete membership documents for IN
