The Regular monthly meeting of the Industrial Development Authority of
Russell County, Virginia was held on  September 12, 2019, at 5:30 P.M. at

approve the minutes of the August 8, 2019 meeting.

ATTORNEY’S REPORT
The attorney presented the new InvestSWVA program. This program is a
regional marketing initiative to promote economic development in the region.
The attorney has draft documents ready for the Clinch River Hemp
Company to review.
The Chairman directed the attorney to send notification to C-6 Corporation
giving the company 30 days to sign the agreement or the offer will be rescinded.
CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
The chairman presented request for letters of support for the VCEDA seed
capital grant.
Upon motion made by Tony Dodi, second by Scott Gilmer, and duly
approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia
authorizing the chairman to issue letters of support for the VCEDA seed capital
program for the following companies:
Small Town Fitness
The Local Mercantile, LLC
Beartown Barbell Club
Cheesy Does It

The Chairman reported the Legislative Reception will be held in Richmond
on January 22, 2020.

participate with regional counties to facilitate a legislative reception in Richmond
and agree to share the expenses not to exceed $2,000.00

ATTORNEY’S REPORT

the chairman to sign all documents necessary for the application

chairman to sign all documents necessary to complete the application process.
