Virginia to approve the Financial Report of July 12, 2018.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Donnie Nelson and Ralph Woods shared their plan to purchase the Russell
Meat Packing facility. Their plan is to update the facility to enable the sale of meat
products in the are both wholesale and retail.
ATTORNEY REPORT
The Attorney reported she is waiting on the square footage of the space
occupied by Workforce Development to finalize the lease agreement. She is also
waiting on the survey of the property being deeded to Phillip Powers to finalize the
agreement.
CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Heart of Appalachia is applying for a grant to promote the seven-county
region. They are asking for a letter of support from the IDA.
Upon motion made by Roger Sword, second by Richard Lockridge, and duly
approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia
authorizing the chairman to send a letter of support for the Heart of Appalachia
Grant.

duly approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County,
Virginia to approve the Financial Report of July 12, 2018.

The USDA grand for $75,000.00 revolving loan has been awarded.
NEW BUSINESS
The waste management authority is seeking office space in the government
center. The space requested will be offered at $200.00 per month.

approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia to
enter Closed Session as permitted by, VA Code #2.2-3711 (3) Property
(5) Prospective unannounced industry (7)&(8) Legal Counsel.
