ATTORNEY REPORT
The IDA board and attorney discussed the lease on the saw mill property in
Castlewood. Mr. Fugate is delinquent on the tax payments for the property and
therefore is in violation of the lease agreement.
Upon motion made by Roger Sword, second by Richard Lockridge, and duly
approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia to
forward a letter to Mr. Fugate requesting the delinquent taxes to be paid in full or
face possible eviction.
The Vote was:

The attorney presented for discussion the possibility of releasing the
restrictions for the Gilmer property behind Gardenside. The IDA board discussed

Richard Lockridge reported on the Project “Reclaim” presentation to the
Tobacco Commission in Richmond. The Tobacco Commission approved the grant
for $2.9 million.
