Upon motion made by Sam Whited, second by Roger Sword, and duly

approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia to approve the Financial Report of May 31, 2016 as presented and to pay all bills as presented with the following additions;

VCEDA LOAN EXTENTION

The loan from VCEDA for the CGI project has been extended for ten years.

DSS LEASE The DSS director, in response to the lease increase proposed by the IDA, is

recommending the DSS board of directors not accept the increase. The Attorney recommends the building committee meet with the DSS director. The Chairman authorized the building committee to meet with the DSS director.

HEALTH DEPARTMENT REQUEST

The Chairman presented a request from the Health Department for the installation of an entry lock system.

Upon motion made by Becki Joyce, second by Mike Hincher, and duly

approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia allowing the Health Department to install an entry lock system at no cost to the IDA. The vote was: Yea: R. Sword, J. Boyd, S. Gilmer, M. Hincher, S. Whited, T. Cook, B. Joyce Nay: None Absent: M. Duty

The building committee recommends assessing each tenant $300.00 to supplement The cost. The Chairman authorized Scott Gilmer & Roger Sword to apply for a marketing grant from VCEDA to repair the sign.

Upon motion made by J.C. Boyd, second by Mike Hincher and duly approved by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia to repair the sign at the industrial park on route 71 at a cost of $6,000.00

DAYCARE CENTER REPORT Mrs. Potts is requesting a letter of intent or contract from the IDA clarifying

by the Industrial Development Authority of Russell County, Virginia authorizing the attorney to send a letter to TruPoint Bank defining the conditions of the land grant for the Daycare Center.

NEWMARK CONTRACT

Mr. Elliott’s pay will be adjusted for the decrease in duties taken on by Mr. Rutherford. Members shall surrender his or her monthly stipend of $200.00 and shall be compensated by submitting a voucher for $100.00 per legitimate meeting.
