The Chair opened citizens’ comment.
The following citizens spoke in opposition to the proposed private landfill at the Moss III site.
Several different issues were mentioned including leakage, air quality, pollution impacting the Clinch River, decrease in property values, decrease in tourism, etc. They also asked that the BOS have a more open and transparent dialog concerning this project and asked that they vote NO when asked to approve this landfill.
