2023 beginning with Executive (closed) Session 4:00 pm followed by the regular meeting at 6:00 pm at
the Russell County Government Center in Lebanon, Virginia.

The Chair opened Citizens’ Comment.
Sandy Hess, Swords Creek reminded the Board that the Pro-Life Resolution should have a plaque in the government center, she also commented that the bylaws need to be amended to allow a question and answer period for citizens.
Judy Hamilton Sullivan requested that the county needs a new animal control shelter or at the very least upgrades to the current one. Also, she thinks the County needs a new animal control officer.
Randy Burke, Lebanon thanked the Board for their support of Marc Mero. He thinks that we need to stop the dispensaries in this county before marijuana is legalized. He also commented that a question and answer period at the board meetings would be helpful.
