A regular monthly meeting of the Russell County Board of Supervisors was held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the Russell County Government Center in Lebanon, Virginia.

The Clerk called the meeting to order.

Invocation by Caleb Johnson followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Presentations

Linda Skeens was recognized as the “Viral County Fair Queen” by the Board of Supervisors and was presented a resolution in her honor.

The Board presented Russell County Country music band 49 Winchester with a resolution proclaiming April 09 as the Annual “49 Winchester Day” in Russell County.

Dora Martin, representing Vet Fest gave the Board an overview of the Vet Fest event to be held on September 24, 2022.

Cuba Porter, Chairman of The Russell County Public Service Authority gave an update on the fire hydrants and PSA projects.

Brandon Moore, Moccasin stated that the Moccasin solid waste site has been closing early.

Victor Hall, Castlewood commented that a water main leak flooded his garage, and the PSA was at fault.

Annie Stevens, New Garden Rescue Squad requested ARPA funds to help with the expenses of the all the fire and rescue departments.
