A special called meeting of the Russell County Board of Supervisors was held on Friday, November 17,
2017 at 3:00 pm at the Russell County Government Center in Lebanon, Virginia.
The Clerk called the meeting to order.
Roll Call by the Clerk:
Present: Tim Lovelace Lou Wallace Carl Rhea David Eaton Steve Breeding Rebecca Dye
Lonzo Lester, Clerk
Absent: Mark Mitchell
Invocation by Chairman Steve Breeding, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The Russell County Department of Social Services Board also convened at the meeting. Members in
attendance included Brian Ferguson, Bill Hale, Roger Brown, Attorney Ben Chafin and Attorney Katie
Patton. Rebecca Dye is also a member of the Russell County Department of Social Services Board.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion made by David Eaton, second Tim Lovelace and duly approved by the Board of Supervisors to
enter into Executive Session (Closed) pursuant to Virginia code 2.2-3711 (7) for discussion concerning
actual or probable litigation.
The vote was: Aye: David Eaton, Tim Lovelace, Rebecca Dye, Steve Breeding, Lou Wallace and Carl Rhea Nay: None
APPROVAL TO RETURN TO REGULAR SESSION
