IN RE: CLOSING OF RUSSELL COUNTY COURTHOUSE
IN OBSERVANCE OF INDEPENDENCE DAY
O R D E R
In keeping with actions taken by the Judicial Council of Virginia and
the Committee on District Courts, and by agreement of the Russell County Board
of Supervisors, it is ORDERED by the authority granted in Section 17.1-207 of the
Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, that the offices in the Russell County
Courthouse and in the Russell County Governmental Center shall be closed on
Monday, July 3, 2023, in addition to the national holiday on July 4, in observance
of Independence Day.
The closure of the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office by this Order shall
have the same force and effect as a legal holiday as set forth in subsection B of
Section 1-210 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended.
